Terms and conditions
Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other reference to this competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
THE PROMOTER
The promoter is: Arches London Bridge of 8 Bermondsey Street, London SE1 2ER. The abovementioned company will be hereafter jointly referred to as the ‘Promoter.’
PRIZE DESCRIPTION AND VALUE
There will be one winner and one prize awarded.
The stay will be valid until 30 November 2024 and the booking of the 2-days stay is according to availability. The tickets to Monet’s Garden at Arches London Bridge will be valid until the show’s closing date.
This stay has been created by Normandy Tourism, France, for 2 people
The drawn winner will win:
Day 1:
- Catch the Eurostar from London to Paris and then a train from Paris to Vernon-Giverny, where you will stroll the famous water lily ponds and colourful gardens created by Claude Monet, at his home in Giverny. Visit the Musée des Impressionnismes in the heart of the village.
- A night in Giverny or nearby in a 3 or 4-star hotel
Day 2:
- Catch the train to Rouen and discover Normandy’s buzzing capital city. Gaze at France’s highest cathedral, which was painted numerous times by Claude Monet in his series of paintings which each capture the façade of the cathedral at different times of the day and year. Visit the Musée des Beaux-Arts, which features many Impressionist paintings. In the summer months, you can enjoy the magical light show on the façade of the cathedral at nightfall.
- A night in Rouen in a 3 or 4-star hotel
Day 3:
- Enjoy a gastronomic guided tour of Rouen in the morning then hop on the train back to Paris. After an easy transfer to Gare to Nord, you can catch your Eurostar back to London.
- A pair of tickets to Monet’s Garden at Arches London Bridge
Total value of the trip to France is £1600. Total value of Monet’s Garden tickets is £55.80
Total estimated prize value: £1655.90
Prize value is recommended retail price and is subject to change. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. The prizes are not transferable, not redeemable for cash and may not be combined with any other promotion. The prizes are not refundable and cannot be upgraded. The prize winners cannot change, vary or substitute the prize.
Winner and guest are responsible for all other expenses not expressly stated herein including, without limitation, spending money, meals, drinks, transfers to the venue, underground tickets, incidentals, city tax and all other ancillary costs. The prize winners are responsible for their passports, travel insurance and additional travel within France.
To enter and to be eligible to win the prize, Entrants must comply with the following conditions during the Contest Period: The competition closes on 14th March 2024 at 11:59pm London time (GMT). After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
Your personal data, and the personal data of any guest or travel companion, will be collected and processed by us to administer this Competition.
Employees of the Promoter or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.
Entry is open to all residents of the United Kingdom only. You must be 18 or older to participate into this competition.
Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. Incomplete, incomprehensible or false entries will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. In case of dispute as to identity of entrant, entry will be deemed to have been made by the registered user of the e-mail account, and if a prize is won, will be awarded to the registered user, if eligible. The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation or to be acting in violation of these terms and conditions.
To enter and to be eligible to win the prize, Entrants must, during the Competition Period. Visit www.monets-garden.co.uk to register details including, without limitation, name and valid e-mail address. Failure to provide the requested information will render the entry invalid. By entering this contest, the entrants may, at their sole discretion, choose to subscribe to receive marketing emails from the Promoter. Entrants can opt out by not ticking the boxes when asked.
If an Entrant’s contact details change during the Contest Period, the Entrant must promptly notify the Promoter of the relevant change. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be in writing and directed to Promoter.
Entrants may only enter once.
No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions subject to written directions from the relevant regulatory authorities, in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by UK law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or any other Social Network or any other partners.
Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize winner and their travel companions.
The travellers must ensure that they have valid documentation, including but not limited to valid passports and visas, which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at every destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the travellers.
The promoter cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage sustained during the trip and the winners should arrange adequate travel insurance cover for their trip.
If for any reason whatsoever the winner is unable to take any element of the prize in the time period specified by the Promoter, then that element of the prize in its entirety will be forfeited to the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
The prize, in whole or in any part, is not transferable to another individual and is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash, goods or services. The prize is not refundable and cannot be upgraded. The prize winner cannot change, vary, substitute or extend any element of the prize (in whole or in part) and the prize winner must be among the travellers.
The promoter’s decision is final for the Competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
These rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
THE DRAW
The winner will be drawn at random on 15th March, 2024 at 9:00am London time (GMT) at the Promoter’s premises. The first valid entry drawn will win the prize detailed in point 2. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
The winner’s name will be announced on 18th March 2024.
NOTIFICATION
The winner will be notified by Arches London Bridge by email on 15th March that they have won.
The winner of the prize will have 1 week to respond with their details to claim the prize. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within the notification period, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. The prize will be delivered via email to a UK email address only. Should the prize remain unclaimed, another prize draw will take place on 18th March 2024 at 9am London time (GMT) at the Promoter’s premises. The unclaimed prize winner will be notified by email within 2 business days of the 10th
The winner must indicate by return email their preferred date and time (session) for Monet’s Garden at Arches London Bridge. Once the winners request this time slot, it will not be able to be changed. Gigantic, the ticket distributor, will email the winner a digital ticket for their session to the nominated email address. The Monet’s Garden tickets are non-transferable.
The draw result will be published at www.twitter.com/arches_LB and http://www.facebook.com/archeslondonbridge within two business days after the draw date/s. The prize must be accepted as awarded, is non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value. Cash will not be awarded as a substitute. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier’s requirements. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.
The winner must consent to the use of their name (including posting first name and last initial) and/or photo for promotional purposes and media editorial requests regarding this contest, without compensation. Their name will be posted on www.facebook.com/archeslondonbridge (External link), twitter.com/Arches_LB (External link) and/or www.instagram/arches.londonbridge after the prize is awarded. This information may not be published elsewhere without the written permission of the Promoter.
The promoter reserves the right to film, photograph and/or record you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Competition and we may use such film, recording and/or photograph(s) for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media.
